Easter Treats for the Children of Romford

Needles and Chat is a knitting group that meets every week in Grays, Essex. But whilst it’s fun to knit and chat, the group does a lot more than that: many of their woollen creations are destined for good causes.

Needles and Chat is an Essex knitting group with a difference. Meeting every week, the members enjoy a good chat over their clicking needles whilst creating beautiful woollen wonders, many of them destined for good causes such as the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.

For Easter 2018, the group has pulled out all the stops to craft a charming selection of cute Easter bunnies, chicks and baskets, all of which hide a special treat: a yummy chocolate egg!

Essex based wood veneering company Read Veneers donated the chocolate eggs and then, on hearing about local radio station Time 107.5 FM’s Be a Good Egg Easter campaign, decided to buy a batch of the knitted treats, eggs and all, to contribute to the cause.

Time 107.5 FM has teamed up with Northwood Lettings to bring a smile to the faces of local children who are less fortunate this Easter. They are calling for donations of Easter eggs by 26 March 2018.
