In October our Paul Read and 20 other eager cyclists made their way to the Spanish Balearic island of Mallorca to make the journey from Cala D’or to Palma with the aim of raising money for Teens Unite and in memory of Gerry Couch who tragically passed away after a car accident in Mallorca in June 2015.
We are looking to take on a veneer presser / wood machinist to support expanding workloads. The successful candidate will have a degree of experience in operating a veneer press, edge bander and sander. Training will be provided on skills specific to the company.
It’s been a busy summer at Read Veneers. Aside from producing numerous white American oak veneered panelsfor a range of uses in commercial and domestic settings, we’ve also been working on reproducing a selection of ALPI engineered veneered panels for an executive apart-hotel in London.
In the midst of the Brentwood countryside, not far from West Horndon station, you’ll find a sizeable converted barn. In this barn you’ll find an extensive workshop: it’s the home of Read Veneers, and the extent of the machinery and operation often come as quite a surprise to those who visit.
