Success! Couch Classic 2016 on Target to net £60K for Teens Unite

We did it! All the early 5.30am alarm calls, cycling to work and weekends of gruelling training paid off with more than £60,000 raised for Teens Unite Fighting Cancer.

I managed to complete the elite route alongside some inspirational and highly spirited people including none other than the formidable Olympic Gold and World Champion rowing legend William Satch whose mere presence spurred the rest of us on no end, and the amazing Georgia, a living, breathing example of the difference Teens Unite makes to people’s lives. Not only did she beat cancer, she also overtook two of the elite men’s team en route!

Yes the course was challenging at times – 12 hours, 125 miles on the ground and more than 9,000 feet of uphill climbing – but there was everything to push for with this superb charity at the forefront of our efforts.

Thank you so much to everyone who has supported me and this fantastic cause: you have all made an incredible difference to young people who really deserve our help. It was truly an honour to be part of such an inspirational event and here’s looking forward to Couch Classic 2017.
