We are incredibly proud to report that we have once again teamed up with the Needles and Chat knitting group, this time to help raise funds for the Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal.
Aimed at architects, designers and artists specialising in wood-based panel products, we are now offering a range of skilled CNC services including CNC cutting, routing and fabrication.
Needles and Chat is a knitting group that meets every week in Grays, Essex. But whilst it’s fun to knit and chat, the group does a lot more than that: many of their woollen creations are destined for good causes.
The introduction of the new Masterwood CNC Project 265 has enhanced the range of capabilities at Read Veneers and as a result we are now able to offer a wider variety of services to fit-out specialists and furniture makers.
We did it! All the early 5.30am alarm calls, cycling to work and weekends of gruelling training paid off with more than £60,000 raised for Teens Unite Fighting Cancer.
In 2015, Paul Read and the Couch Classic team raised more than £15,000 for the charity Teens Unite. This year however the bar has been raised and collectively the team is looking to achieve a hugely significant £60,000.
In October our Paul Read and 20 other eager cyclists made their way to the Spanish Balearic island of Mallorca to make the journey from Cala D’or to Palma with the aim of raising money for Teens Unite and in memory of Gerry Couch who tragically passed away after a car accident in Mallorca in June 2015.
